Test Code FS Fetal Blood Screening Test (Blood Bank)

Additional Information

A sample from all Rh-negative women at risk should be tested to detect a large fetal-materal hemorrhage, which may require more than a single dose of Rh Immune Globulin for effect prophylaxis.  Appropriate use of Rh Immune Globulin can successfully prevent alloimmunization to the D antigen.
